Here one day
Gone the next
Who gets to say?
Its quite complex.
Today is bright and full of life
Tomorrow, dull and grey
No matter how we toil and strife
None are here to stay
This earth has seen a lot of us
We're born,we live and die
The strongest man will turn to dust
The toughest woman cries
Today we laugh and smile and play
Tomorrow, we are not here
Beginning and end curse each day
But we should not live in fear
We’re oft told to live each day
As though it is our last.
We won’t all be old and grey
The young die just as fast
Right now it seems that death,
Is far away and slow
But like the brilliant sun that sets
Its sure to come somehow
Why waste your time with hate and fear?
Or sadness through and through?
Today’s the day to wipe your tears.
Get up and go do you.
Today our options seem not to end
There is very much to do
But spend today with all your friends
Tell someone ‘I love you’
Tomorrow’s right around the bend.
You can’t see it, but it’s there
So don’t be sad you lost a friend
They’re waiting for you, dear
Today is tomorrow’s enemy,
He will deceive you so
Today, let go and just be free
For tomorrow, no one knows
